The commercial team is responsible for the end to end management of all procurement activities within the South African region, including Regional Category Management, Sourcing & Contracts, Project Procurement and Purchasing. The team works with regional business and Supply Chain stakeholders to implement and manage performance of contracts and suppliers, grow the host community supply base and ensure effective supply of goods and services required for operations.

Job Description

As part of the regional Commercial Team, this role will be responsible for strategic regional Sourcing & Contracting routine and tactical contracts, with an initial focus of integrating the Sourcing & Contracts team and consolidating commercial contracts within the region.

This role fulfils a strategic function in the integrated management of corporate office and regional tactical and routine sourcing and contracting activities. It will lead activities relating to an allocated portfolio and act as an interface between Supply Chain and the UK corporate office and oversee the interface with the Singapore corporate office in a business partnering fashion.

You will lead negotiations for regional contracts and drive step change in commercial deals including the areas of value, safety, innovation, digitalization and sustainability, develop and ensure implementation of Value Delivery Plans for contracts in allocated portfolio in an accurate, timely and value driven manner. You will Provide strategic support to the business throughout the contract lifecycle and continually monitor and manage contractual risks and ensure efficient contractual arrangements in place for the enablement, monitoring and delivery of regional Sourcing & Contracting routine and tactical contracts, inclusive procurement and risk mitigation initiatives in allocated portfolio. You will ensure that end-to-end sourcing & contracting activities are effectively and efficiently executed for allocated portfolio. You will lead on the execution of all regional Sourcing & Contracting routine and tactical contracts administrative activities, including timeous and accurate capturing of price updates for contracts in the system for all contracts in the region. You will also lead, develop and coach a team of collaborative commercial professionals with deep category, business and industry knowledge

- Degree qualified or equivalent combined with solid sourcing and contracts procurement management experience gained in a complex global organisation
