**JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY**

To administer and safeguard all delivery assets under Solar Mining Services fleet

Manage all duties and activities related to the delivery of all Solar Mining Services products

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure all drivers are legally compliant. Hazchem and DGP are valid
- Verify physical delivery with the driver before commencing with process.
- Ensures that drivers are issued with a loading instruction before loading goods
- Ensures that driver complete pre-use and log books as per trip
- Route planning and establishing overnight rest locations for the drivers
- Dispatch of blasting accessories and Emulsion and raw materials
- Ensure that there is constant communication with drivers
- Checks that the Continuous Transport Permit (CTP) corresponds to the order, Permit is valid and not expired and does not exceed maximum quantities set-out by Chief Inspector of Explosives.
- Ensure that vehicle and driver comply with all requirements, prior to loading of the order.
- Continuous monitoring of the trucks and driver’s movement under your control
- Monitoring of the diesel consumption per truck and driving efficiency of the truck drivers
- Oversee routine and ad hoc maintenance, obtain tags for new vehicle and renew old ones to ensure schedule fleet management.
- Maintain and monitor Fleet management system
- Obtain quotes and generate PR’s as per request.
- Ensure that each truck reaches its target for the day and meet OTIF
- SHERQ
- Ensures that all the requirements of SHERQ are met such factors include but not limited are:

- Take5’s are completed and submitted timeously
- Asset Housekeeping
- Ensures that all assets are neat, tidy and safe and according to legal requirements.
- Ensure that vehicles are in position of documentation according to legal requirements.
- Ensure that roadworthiness is kept up to date in compliance with the department of transport

**GENERAL REQUIREMENTS**

Job Knowledge:

- Adhere to all safety regulations and approved work standards and ensure that all persons under your charge are fully conversant with the provisions of the OHSA, the OHSA Regulations and in particular, the Explosives Regulations.
- No criminal record - good standing
- Local language, fluent English (other languages also valued)
