Job Description

To vet and ensure all cross-border documents relating to Import in advance over R 50 000 meet the requirements of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) prior to the transactions being verified/validated on Import Verification System (IVS).

To consult with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are met before transactions validated on IVS.

Are you someone who can:
- Ensure the accurate capture of Balance of Payment (BOP) and the correct Section of the Reserve Bank rulings is applied prior verifying the transactions, thereby minimizing risk- Ensure all transactions are verified within the relevant service level agreement (SLA)- Keep abreast of and comply to statutory and legislative requirements related to the rulings and updates from the Reserve Bank; and ensure implementation within business- Ensure where Exchange Control approval has expired, information is updated on relevant system and clients are advised accordingly- Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships that enable achievement of operational objectives, both internally and externally- Produce high quality work by adhering to predefined standards and procedures and in accordance with compliance and governance standards- Have a minimum of Grade 12 with a relevant Banking or Compliance Certificate NQF 5 qualification- Have 1 + years of Foreign Exchange experience- Understand the Reserve Bank exchange control rules and regulations- Have exposure to cross border payments
