Electrical and Instrumentation Team Leader

A well-established engineering company based in Centurion is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Team Leader to join their team.

**Requirements**:

- B.S. Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent training, certifications, and work experience
- Red Seal Electrician
- 8+ years of experience in fabrication and maintenance environment is required with electrical maintenance supervision experience preferred
- Strong technical skills; hands-on; possesses ability and willingness to help solve problems
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office programs is required
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with experience in PLC’s, servo drives and HMI’s
- Experience with high-speed packaging lines, robotics and computer control
- Working knowledge of a CMMS is required.
- Broad Knowledge and experience in providing industrial electrical services
- Knowledge of process control systems
- Familiarity working with PLC, HMI, SCADA, VSD and instrumentation

**Responsibilities**
- Train team members on safety precautions on and off site
- Develop training plans for the technicians to achieve higher levels of skill, and ensure completion of training plans
- Improving daily productivity of the installation teams
- Managing employee schedules (vacations, shift coverage, training, etc.)
- Manage the quality and efficiency of electrical installation work - Manage planning, scheduling, and work execution
- Facilitate and manage the employee selection and orientation process
- Audit team members’ work quality
- Track and manage key performance indicators for area of responsibility
- Develop a climate which encourages the participation and involvement of all employees
- Lead in a manner consistent with the Company Values at all times
- Ensure that employees are aware of expectations and are accountable for sustaining continuous improvement initiatives and plans.
- You will be expected to perform general and other duties as might be assigned to you from time to time by your immediate supervisor, which might not be specifically mentioned herein, although such duties will be relevant to the nature of the Company’s businesses.
- Your role is part of the whole organisation team and as such requires you to perform such reasonable tasks that are required, as and when necessary, to maintain, promote, develop, and expand the business of our organisation and its interest generally.
- You must carry out your duties to the best of your ability, having consideration for the needs of your colleagues, the organisation, and its clients/customers. You must obey all lawful and reasonable orders given to you and comply with the organisation’s rules, procedures, and policies.
