Our client who is a financial institution based in Sandton is currently seeking a Senior Group Reporting Manager to join their team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and sign off group consolidations and reporting
- Overseeing the monthly group consolidation and reporting, including but not limited to:

- Review of monthly flash reporting
- Review of monthly group management accounts and the report of the executive office
- Management of monthly subsidiary reporting and ensuring adherence to deadlines
- Presentation of group consolidated results to the group’s executive management on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of group reporting templates and coordinating quarterly, interim and year end reporting across the group.
- Preparation of group consolidated financial statements for half year and full year results.
- Planning and controlling the annual external audit process.
- Assisting with preparation of annual integrated report.
- Reviewing of technical accounting papers and opinions prepared by subsidiaries;
- Reviewing the JSE’s annual pro-active monitoring report to the audit committee;
- Management of the consultation with the auditors on technical accounting matters.
- Overseeing the work of the group tax reporting manager, including but not limited to:

- Review of and providing insights into the various aspects of group tax reporting;
- Oversight over the management of the group tax risk management framework, and tax compliance across the group.
- Keep up to date with latest IFRS changes and the implementation thereof.
- Perform any ad-hoc analysis or scenario modelling to support decision making.
- Oversee the performance of key financial processes for the function that include but are not limited to KPI tracking, business case reviews, financial performance analysis by business unit.
- Ensure that the team has the appropriate level of management oversight, a solid understanding of work requirements and the expertise to perform adequately.

**Requirements**:

- CA(SA)
- 6 - 8 years post articles experience (preferably in a fast-paced environment).
- Proven experience in preparation of group consolidations, group technical accounting, reporting, and group taxation.
- IBM Cognos Controller (group consolidations tool)
- TM1 (group reporting tool)
- CDM (preparation of financial statements)
- Adaptive Insights (budgeting and forecasting)
- Tableau (BI tool for group dashboarding)
- Microsoft Office
- Proven management experience
- Sound IFRS knowledge (proven knowledge of IFRS 9 will be highly beneficial)
- JSE reporting knowledge will be beneficial (SENS, Short form advert, assistance with investor relations presentations)
- Ability and willingness to take responsibility for special projects as and when required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
