**Purpose of Job**

To be responsible for a profitable and professional cleaning and hygiene service in geographical or segmented market region of responsibility and to ensure relationship reliability and response prevails either internally or externally to retain and develop business whilst upholding the Companies policies and procedures.

**Management of Area Managers/Operations Managers**

To ensure that regular monthly meetings are convened and minuted to enforce standardization of the area management toolkit and to correct non-compliance of service.

To assess on a monthly basis the income to Cost Ratio’s of Area Managers/Operations Managers portfolio in order to achieve a consistent service excellence delivery of “Work Site Plan”.

To set KPA targets annually for each AM/OM to achieve and assess quarterly performance thereof.

To conduct performance & career appraisals annually with each AM/OM to ensure that salary increase and training and development initiatives are meaningful and fair.

To regularly visit random sites with Area Managers/Operations Managers to ensure that all disciplines of the work site plan are adhered to vs. Cost

Ensure that Contract Routing Plan is in specification for each AM/OM to maximize consistency of service and cost.

To review monthly all costing parameters per contract with each AM/OM as per profitability analysis.

To determine a annual client visit schedule for each Area Manager/Operations Manager and monitor (on a monthly basis) whether Area Managers/Operations Manager are meeting the agreed targets.

**Client Relationships**

To determine an weekly client visit schedule with the frequency of visits based on the revenue associated to each client.

To conduct formal minutes of meetings with major clients in the Regional managers business area on a monthly basis to cover:

- Performance measurement
- Review communication book entries
- Review cost drivers vs. optimization opportunities - Debtors review - Adherence to Work Site Plan - Development of range of services

To ensure customize/client details are recorded for relationship building i.e. birthday, hobbies, etc.

To informally build relationship with major clients by means of ethical and reputable entertainment norms i.e. suite, lunch, theatre, etc.

**Training and Development**

To support Training and HR Department in bursary and workplace skills, targets and processes.

Ensure that training for Area Managers/Operations Managers are in line with Career Profiling aids and specifications for Area Management/Operation Management, Profile and Succession planning.

To review Site Training vs. Unit standards with interviews monthly and ensure Compliance of Training with Work Site Plan is constantly monitored.
- **Site Audits**

Ensure that all major sites are audited vs. Work Site Plan with Area Managers/Operations Managers on a quarterly basis and are documented and filed accordingly. Ensure that Area Managers/Operations Managers inspect Work Quality vs. Site Plan monthly to enable a performance rating schedule of all sites that is monitored and reported thereon at management meetings. To assess AM/OM and Site Management ability vs. requirement on a quarterly basis.

**Payroll Administration**

To ensure that all timesheet and payroll audits deadlines are adhered to as per procedure.

**Sales and Marketing Development**

Manage and assist Sales Department with new/or existing business development and to authorize proposed costing functionality as per limits of authority schedule. Mine regional business base with company full range of services and to actively participate in associated and development structure in business segments market base.

Ensure targets are set with your sales department, checking of all quotations and tender documentation.

Adhering to all sales deadlines.

Ensuring that all tenders are submitted on time.

Ensuring all statutory certificates are up to date.

**Industrial Relations**

To assist and support the HR officer in all matters relating to recruitment and discipline of regional human resources.

Responsible for sanctioning dismissals of supervision to Area Management/Operations Management and to chair disciplinary or appeal hearing within the delegates levels as per IR policy.

To regularly update Regional Contingency Plan.

To strictly adhere to Recruitment Policy of the company.

**Safety**

Ensure that OHS Act Safety Compliance is strictly adhered to in all sites and monitored monthly with minutes of meetings thereof where applicable.

ISO Policy and Procedures**

Ensure that ISO Compliance is strictly adhered to as per the companies ISO Policy and Audit Procedure.
