- Analyze company data, monitor budgets and prices using software packages.
- Review and assess cost estimates.
- Identify labor, material, costs and time requirements by researching proposals, blueprints, and any related documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimate reports.
- Conduct regular risk assessments.
- Oversee the different stages of a company project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan.
- Present complex and detailed reports to management.**Inherent Requirements**
- 3-5 years proven experience in Estimates in Engineering & Fabrication
- Highly motivated and driven individual
- Excellent communication skills with internal & external clients & suppliers
- Strong understanding of client and market dynamics and requirements
- Excellent English & Afrikaans oral and written communication skills
- Computer literate and able to work with MS Office
- Knowledge of competitors in industry
- Network and relationships with suppliers and Agents in the industry, both locally and internationally
- High degree of accuracy; understanding all aspects of costing within the supply chain
- Meticulous attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven
- Sales and negotiation skills
- Identify new business opportunities
- Quality and quantity of estimates presented to prospective clients
