**Responsibilities**:

- Unlock and develop new business opportunities with specialist employee benefits (EB) consultants and independent financial advisers (IFA)
- Build deep relationships with all the intermediaries we already deal with
- Provide industry-leading technical support to EB consultants and IFAs, including presentations to employers Establish a regular pattern of high-quality engagement with consultants
- Gain deep insight into the different EB businesses
- Maintain relationships and engagements on the CRM (D365)
- Support the platform Business Development Managers (BDMs) and their IFAs with technical product knowledge
- Offer BDM & Client Service Centre Support - assist with technical issues; help understand our product and the industry; Training/guiding/coaching at BDM Conferences, team meetings and individually
- Handle queries from employers, advisers, BDMs when they come into the proposals box
- Presentations - Webinars, Roadshows, Group IFA sessions, BDM Conferences, Industry Events (FPI, FIA etc.)
- Help drive the overall knowledge and skill levels of the BDMs Provide input into our product-led marketing initiatives.
- Provide input for and write articles for publication in industry magazines/websites. Networking at industry events to generate leads and build relationships with consultants. Understand the retirement fund market.
- Perform market/industry research.
- Provide ongoing input into our distribution strategy.

**Requirements**:

- Extensive knowledge of the Employee Benefits industry.
- Strong business developer.
- Seasoned new business professional with a hunter mentality.
- You are tenacious. The new business cycle for umbrella funds is long, so you must be willing to work on accounts until the consultant/employer has a need and or sees value in our product.
- Energetic, outgoing, proactive, creative and have attention to detail with outstanding prospecting, networking and selling skills.
- The highest standards of personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality will be essential.
- The job requires someone who is energetic, flexible, organized and self-disciplined and who enjoys working in a team/project environment.
- Excellent self-management skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presentation skills. Excellent report writing skills.

**Education**:

- Formal qualifications or relevant experience - Relevant Business Degree/Honours/Master’s degree
