SAP Master Data/data Quality Lead

Oversee, define, and implement a programme of data quality improvements, policies procedures and assurance processes to ensure consistency, accuracy and completeness of data.

**Ensuring the implementation of data quality processes**: defining critical data, controls, quality targets, alert thresholds, and escalation procedures.

Establish & maintain data quality dashboard (scorecards) to pro-actively monitor and report on data quality.

Defining data quality remediation plans with the business areas.

Designing and deploying dashboards to monitor data quality.

Ownership of the data quality tool.

Consult with business to compile a business glossary of standardised definitions for master data.

Create and manage a data catalogue to capture business and technical data definitions, data lineage and associated meta-data.

Embedding a strong data management culture within the organisation by advocating the Data Governance Framework and proactively business.

Manage a team of data quality analysts responsible for fixing data issues.

Manage a team of master data analysts responsible for defining master data standards and managing master data.

Performs baseline data quality assessments and data readiness assessments to ensure data readiness within master data domains.

Work closely with data owners, data users and data custodians (IT) to ensure the root cause of reported data issues is understood and underlying problems as well as associated symptoms are resolved.

Developing a data quality approach that aligns with an organization’s goals and objectives.

Conducting research to identify trends in data quality issues in order to develop solutions for potential problems.

Recommending changes in data processing methods to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Monitoring data quality to ensure that it remains consistent over time.

Reviewing information technology systems to ensure that data is being stored and processed correctly.

Diploma in IT / BTech in IT or BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

DAMA certified data management professional (CDMP) or similar certification

2+ years of SAP experience.

Experience in data quality projects.

Experience in master data management projects.

Understanding of data management processes.

Broad understanding of data management body of knowledge (DMBOK).

4+ years of SQL experience (No-SQL experience is a plus).

1+ years of experience in a data quality tool.

1+ years of experience with schema design and data modeling.

Knowledge of best practices in data warehousing and data integration.
