Valuer (Gauteng)

**Job Purpose**

The key focus of the role is to undertake valuation of various types of assets and ensure accuracy, validity, quality, and reliability of property valuations and contributing to the credit risk assessment and providing advisory services to stakeholders in Property Finance Listed and Property Partners within the region including Business Case Forums.

**Responsibilities**:

- Compile valuations for various types of properties for lending purposes as well as book maintenance within the prescribed turnaround times.
- Liaising with property brokers and related professionals, building, and maintaining strong client relationships and updating the property database.
- Share expert knowledge and industry trends with the Listed and NPP Business Units as well as all stakeholders through technical and advisory services.
- Ensure the quality of the book is maintained by undertaking timeous review valuations within the defined scope of the valuations and credit policies.
- Participate and support NCIB initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g. Green Strategy).
- Meet stakeholder expectations. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication and engagement.
- Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives, and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems, process, services and solutions are aligned.

**Minimum Experience Level**
- Minimum 5 - 8 years experience in Commercial Property Finance Valuations
- Good understanding of the property market at large, feasibility analysis and property risk

**Other Requirements**
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be prepared to travel.

**Essential Certifications**
- Professional Associate or Professional Valuer registered with the South African Council for Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP), Membership to the South African Institute of Valuers (SAIV ), Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)

**Technical/Professional Knowledge**
