**Job Specifications**:
**General**:
**The Company Secretary will be responsible for**:
Ensuring the office runs smoothly by providing the necessary support to management;
Ensuring the company complies with all legal requirements, while maintaining high standards of corporate governance;
Ensuring all Service Level Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding are in place within all departments;
Ensuring that supplier reviews are done accurately and timeously and keeping records thereof;
Ensuring minutes of all meetings are recorded;
Assisting with any legal matters that may arise internally;
Being a point of reference for all queriers, requests or issues regarding the company;
Optimising the workflow of the internal office procedures and assisting management in the planning and distribution of information;
Ensuring adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements and internal policies and procedures;
Preparing agendas for meetings and following up on action points;
Providing legal advice;
Handling of all correspondence;
Managing the office space and dealing with all administrative duties;
Ensuring the company complies with Level 1 BBBEE.
**Required Competencies**:
- Strong administrative skills and an aptitude for using IT software;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure;
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- An ability to take initiative;
- A flexible and practical pro-active approach to work;
- Discretion when handling confidential information;
- Maintain a diplomatic approach towards issues;
- Confidence to provide support to high-profile company staff and board members.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge and interest in legal frameworks;
- The ability to learn new products and services quickly;
- An ability to initiate action;
- Commercial and business awareness;
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal;
- Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data;
- Team player;
- Ability to meet deadlines.
**Minimum Experience and Qualifications Required**:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position;
- Experience in drafting and reviewing of SLA and MOUs;
- A tertiary qualification focusing on law;
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Centurion, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Bachelors (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Company Secretary: 5 years (preferred)
- Legal Compliance: 3 years (preferred)
