**Key activities include**:

- Influencing and implementing the merchandise strategy
- Financial and strategic management of the various products e.g. product planning; reviewing weekly and monthly figures
- Managing forecasts by product by month
- Management of range assortments and replenishment
- Compiling and analysing reports on replenishment and promotions
- Provide guidance and strategy for execution of end-of-season stock management
- Developing promotional & range distribution
- Communication with marketing**Inherent Requirements**

**Key requirements**:

- Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification
- 5+ years proven working experience as a Merchandise Planner
- A high degree of numeracy
- An analytical, detailed and strategic approach to work
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel (advanced) and planning systems
- Strong business acumen and merchant thinking
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven decision-making ability
- High level domain specific experience in planning - in a fashion retailer. FMCG background an advantage- At least 2 years relevant retail experience in a Senior Planning role within the fashion industry, knowledge and experience of planning Bill of Materials (BOM).**What Qualification**
- Relevant 3 year qualification
