Learning and Development Manager

**Purpose of the Role**:
**Key Performance Areas**:

- Establish & implement enabling L&D systems, policies, & procedures
- Enable Ability
- Ensure that the L&D team has the capability, experience and required to do their job
- Develop the team’s understanding of the business, and how L&D is contributing to the attainment of business requirements
- Facilitate team growth using available frameworks and tools (regular reviews, planned task observation, coaching, etc. with a view to attaining a deliberate changes in employee accountability over pre-agreed timeframes
- Enable Accountability
- Conduct regular contribution reviews
- Make the following direct contribution:
- Contribute to the development of business aligned L&D strategic and operational plans, as well as budgets
- Establish a governance framework to enable the achievement of L&D goals
- Establish & implement a process for assessing & addressing L&D requirements on an ongoing basis, including maintaining current skills and capability matrices
- Align systems and processes to the Isanti Management System (IMS)
- Optimise L&D contribution to the company’s B-BBEE performance
- Ensure regulatory compliance, reporting
- Ensure the accreditation status of the training centre
- Develop in-house capacity develop the capabilities required to run the business effectively
- Perform analysis of L&D activity, policies, systems, processes, material, etc. to identify the extent of their effectiveness; and recommend improvements as necessary
- L&D vendor relationship and performance management
- Contribute to the completion of the L&D digitisation drive
- Oversee the company’s trainee programmes; ensuring their adequacy and effectiveness
- Comply with the company’s governance requirements (EHS, Ethics, Legal, Delegation of Authority, Procurement, Finance, IT, etc.)
- Management reporting
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- B Degree or equivalent
- Solid L&D experience
- Exposure to Investors In People
- At least 3 years of team leadership experience
- Manufacturing/Heavy Industry Experience will be an advantage
