Food Services Account Manager - FMCG (Pretoria)

A new vacancy exists within our Sales Department
- **A Food Services Account Manager** that will mainly be responsible for:
1. Handling all Food Service Accounts Nationally (Bidfood, Checkers Food Service) as well as Commercial Restaurant Chains such as Spur, Famous Brands, Panarotti’s.

2. Driving the Eskort ‘ON THE GO’ concept into the Retail and School Sector and manage all events form a Sales Perspective.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Marketing, Sales or Business related degree is a requirement.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Previous sales experience of FMCG of 5 - 7 years (fresh, as well as frozen & processed meat products).
- Previous experience in Foodservice industry is critical.
- Experience with Distributors will be an advantage.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop and deliver annual sales plans for each assigned key account in accordance with division sales objectives.
- Develop annual sales budgets in line with the Company’s budgeting process and expectations.
- Prioritize targeting efforts within the Food service and Commercial Restaurant channels focusing on the listing and execution of priority product categories nationally.
- Ensure effective utilization and execution of marketing programs to ensure selling success of new or existing products occur.
- Establish/Reinforce relationship building practices with key accounts in the channel by ensuring that new products are listed, new products are introduced, marketing and promotional programs are put in place, pricing is updated and correct service levels are optimized, stock rotation is applied and compliant process is handled timeously, training programs are in place, continuously and actively investigating new opportunities with regard to product and marketing.
- Ensure that all communication with customers (contract reports, promotional plans, promotional evaluation etc.) is implemented, up to date and communicated.
- If sales targets are not met, ensure that alternative plans are formulated to make up any short falls.
- Responsibility to ensure all work is within budget at all times.
- Ensure that service levels to this channel are within company expectations and that any shortfalls are addressed with the Sales Director (e.g. out of stock, errors in order taking, incorrect invoicing).
- To participate and assist other sales channels when required and called upon
- Manage all events and trade shows from a Sales perspective
