Our client is a reputable commercial real estate services business with operations throughout all major cities in South Africa. Representing both private and listed landlords, this dynamic business provides bespoke facilities and property management services across all asset classes. With capacity in their Durban based team, they are currently seeking a driven and experienced Retail Centre Manager to join the business. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of 14,000m2 retail centre located in the Durban region. Some of your duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Keep abreast of marketing activities in respect of tenant movement, new developments and major vacancies
- Assist with the annual maintenance plan
- Daily centre inspections
- Analyses monthly income/expenses and variance reporting
- Assist in the preparation and completion of annual budgets
- Assist with the specifications and finalisation of service level agreements with external contractors
- Debtors and creditors management
- Assists in timeously renewing leases and all vacant space is let and in a presentable condition
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants
- Monitor and report on monthly financial statements
- Monthly management reporting
- Attends site meetings with contractors in respect of maintenance/expansion projects
- Responsible for the compliance of OSH Act
- Attending to tenant queries

To qualify for this position, you will need to have a relevant tertiary diploma/degree in Finance, Business Management, Real Estate or related fields and at least 3 years’ experience in retail property management. You will also need to have sound knowledge of MDA property software, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently while delivering results.
