**Senior Supply Chain & Warehousing Manager Position**
**(Engineering Production & Mining Industry)**
**Position Overview**
You will manage the Supply Chain, Warehousing and Procurement logistics, and operations of the lifecycle of a product, from its creation to delivery to a customer. The role is to understand how each step in the production, manufacturing and distribution process works together, optimizing efficiency and reducing waste.
The Manager will coordinate and manage the activities to get parts, spares, and products to customers on time. This includes managing available stock, pricing, ordering, costing, administration, on-time supply, and cost management. As part of this process, you will liaise with the production and engineering team members to provide lead time production, deliverable lead time and pricing. Working in this position, you will be hands-on and deliver on deadlines and fast turnaround requests, pricing, and stock item requests on a daily basis that meets our high customer service expectations.
Quality and customer excellence in service include the operational deliverables and effectiveness, including transportation time, product returns, and other delays, as key success drivers in this position.. In this role you will prepare long-term schedules for the company to ensure they have enough stock at any given time to meet demand. In this position, you will manage and drive a profitable operation that meets the financial targets and goals.
**Required skills**
- Experience in the Engineering and Mining Supply Chain and Warehousing industry.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, including those outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Understanding of procedural best practices in supply chain management
- Manage Warehouse and Supply Chain and Procurement processes.
- Manage invoicing and administration of Supply Chain, Warehousing and Procurement functions daily.
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Strong feedback, report and presentation skills.
- Presenting operational and financial feedback to Senior Management.
- Project Management skills,
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of SAGE on experienced level.
- Stock management.
- Strong planning skills
- A logical and systematic approach to work
- Good time management, with the ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and keep to deadlines

**Supply Chain and Warehousing Manager experience**
Applicants must have 5 or more years of experience in Supply chain, Warehousing and Procurement in an engineering / manufacturing environment, in a leadership role. Manage the Supply Chain and Warehousing as a profitable entity, reporting to Senior Management weekly on current financial operation and functioning.
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure complete and effective quality assurance/control plans are implemented at suppliers for purchased products; ensure actions to improve quality plans are implemented at suppliers to minimize and mitigate risk to Company.
- Ensure measurement system evaluations are completed and acceptable for Company products.
- Provides input to Receiving Inspection and Operations Engineering when additional incoming evaluation controls are needed at Company to mitigate medium and higher risks of product non-conformances.
- Drive timely and effective supplier corrective and preventive action on non-conforming purchased product.
- With suppliers, identify opportunities to improve quality and productivity; ensure improvement plans are identified and executed at suppliers regarding problematic parts received by Company.
- Participate, and lead where appropriate, in re-sourcing efforts (moving product from one supplier to another).
- Ensure supplier change requests are evaluated and responded to in a timely manner.
- Supports and carries out assignments to achieve commodity strategies..
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
- Communicate with Engineers, supervisors, and managers at all levels.
- Completion of contractual paperwork in a timely manner - requests for funding are required for certain types of stock and this is a process that needs to be strictly adhered to.
- Annual and monthly stock take and tracking.
- Follow Store Procedures and policies.
- Keeping the stock safe and secure, ensuring all processes are adhered to, and escalating when processes have not been followed.
