**Purpose of the Job**:
Provide administrative support in the legal, compliance and company secretarial functions of the company.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Preparing invoices for payment.
- Managing firms of external attorneys.
- Identifying, indexing and storing vital documents.
- Drafting contracts from precedents and Contract management.
- Preparing legal reports.
- Following up to ensure training priorities met.
- Promoting awareness of policies throughout the business.
- Preparing compliance reports.
- Administration concerning business partners.
- Board administration, including scheduling Board meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, liaising with Board members, sending out other notices, preparing and circulating resolutions.
- Liaising with external company secretaries.
- Maintaining company records.
- Maintaining and updating schedules of company information.
- Management related to Executive Committee and Senior Management Committee, including preparing agendas and minutes, liaising with committee members, organizing meetings, and preparing monthly progress reports.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 2-3 years drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Strong Commercial legal experience and background with a focus on Company Law (including strong Company secretarial background), Contract Law (principles and drafting), Commercial Litigation (understanding of processes, drafting of legal correspondence of a litigious nature or with legal implications)
- Reviewing and drafting of agreements such as joint ventures, non-disclosure agreements, sales agreements, SLAs lease agreements, MOU, consultant agreements procurement contracts etc.
- Good knowledge and practical experience with respect to the administration, governance and compliance issues of the Companies Act 2008
- Drafting minutes of meetings and resolutions and keeping records in accordance with statutory requirements
- Conduct research on any legal related policies and acts, distill and communicate its impact on the business
- Exposure to Competition Law will be an advantage
- Strong business acumen or good understanding of companies, business structures and their workings
- Excellent legal technical skills and abilities (no chancers)
- High attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Independent and have ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Fully competent and confident in their writing, speaking (English) and negotiation skills
- Ability to interact at both the executive and operational level
- High level of integrity and professionalism

- Advanced MS Word skills
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R40,000.00 per month
