Cape Town, South Africa Krutham Full time

This is a unique position for a macroeconomist starting out to take a step to launch their career at a respected, dynamic and fast-growing company.

The internship will be for a mutually agreed period depending on your availability and studies. Remuneration is market related. The internship will allow you to have full exposure to our business, the clients we support and our role in contributing to important debates in South Africa.

You will be given a variety of shorter term (data analysis, desktop research etc) and long term (in-depth research assignments and report writing) to undertake. Modelling and forecasting the macroeconomy will be an important component of the role as well as supporting other researchers to answer client questions. Building interesting products (combining data, analysis and modelling) that unlock answers about South Africa's macroeconomy will be a crucial part of the role and so an enquiring mind and innovative thinking will be important.

Modelling and generating insights on the macroeconomic impact of reforms, looking at inflation and its drivers and forecasting the impacts of inflation and commodity cycles on tax revenue are examples of likely projects.
