The objective of this role is to support the company's growth strategy by marketing the various platforms of the business to create awareness among trade and consumers.
**Responsibilities**:
Administrative
Ensure the smooth operation of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals
Provide administrative support to the marketing team
Preparing, formatting, and editing presentations and reports
Management of external suppliers and agencies who produce marketing materials or provide marketing support - from sourcing new suppliers and briefing to production, delivery, and quality control
Following up with agencies and suppliers
Ensuring brand uniformity and consistency
Budget and cost management
Identifying new marketing opportunities.
Market research
Carry out market research to foster an understanding of the consumer base and the latest trends in the baby-related industries. Provide feedback to the relevant individuals. Drive brand penetration in the targeted markets to build brand awareness and develop consumer affinity.
Carry out market research to understand the competitor arena, and design deals and specials to ensure competitiveness in the market.
Conduct regular research to measure the effectiveness of the marketing media and recommend changes accordingly.
Advertising
Foster and manage relationships with suppliers to meet their marketing needs. Manage relationships by taking into consideration turnaround time, cost, quality, creativity, etc. Maintain ongoing relationships with media partners to understand trends, advert positioning and negotiate rates to ensure the best pricing for the company.
Compile themed advertisements ensuring that the theme translates into all mediums of advertising - radio, television, and print.
Monitor and oversee the design elements for the marketing campaign.
Book, confirm and manage all advertising pertaining to print, on-line, radio and street advertising.
Source and research all on-line and print elements that will be required for advertising.
For events/exhibitions
Manage the layout, design, printing, and distribution of all print material for the exhibitions. Ensure that quality is maintained by proof-reading marketing material for accuracy of information prior to printing.
Ensure that marketing material is distributed to the various channels and locations in a timely manner.
Source and confirm sponsors for marketing activities e.g. sourcing prize sponsors for competitions.
Ensure that all sponsors are recognised for their contributions in the form of advertising.
Take full responsibility for the management, layout, and design of all promotional activities.

**Skills**:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Relationship management skills to manage internal and external supplier relationships
High levels of research and development ability.
Quality-centric approach and attention to detail, especially when dealing with proof-reading marketing material
Knowledge and experience in social media and or digital marketing would be an advantage
Customer service orientation
Time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Planning and organising skills. Computer skills - MSWord, MSExcel, MSOutlook, MSPowerpoint, Canva and AdobeAttributes
Dynamic individual with a creative flair for generating new ideas and themes.
A team player who can work closely with his/her own team as well as Sales to achieve the business objectives
Ability to deal with pressure
**Qualifications/requirements**:
A marketing degree or diploma is required
A major in English tertiary level studies or proficiency in English would be an advantage
Driver’s license and own vehicle required
A minimum of two years of marketing experience required
Experience in the exhibition or baby industry would be an advantage
