As an Accounting Clerk you will perform billing and accounting duties. The duties include supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable and reconciliations, acting as a cashier to verify receipts and deposits, and preparing and maintaining records. maintaining vendor accounts and processing procurement requests for goods and services.

Other duties and responsibilities include:

- Bookkeeping and general accounting
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets
- Operating data terminals calculators and other standard office equipment
- Performing clerical work and interoffice support including receiving and processing mail
- Invoicing and reconciliation for varying departments
- Maintaining and promoting excellent vendor relations
- Assembling, sorting and tabulating codes and filing data
- Verifying claims and processing orders and deposit slips

**Account Clerk skills and qualifications**

As an Accounts Clerk, you should have a comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping and accounting practices, along with strong communication skills as well as the following:

- Ability to understand the principles and procedures of bookkeeping and record-keeping
- Accuracy in accounting
- Knowledge of business-level English, both verbal and written
- Ability to foster and maintain business and client relationships
- Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office
- Ability to design and follow a physical filing system
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to explain and interpret fiscal related policies and general accounting
- Ability to drive sales and operations teams to drive up profits

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
