**Summary of the role**
- The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, supervising staff, and securing the warehouse.

**Areas of responsibility include**:
**People Management**
- Implement and achieve department objectives, goals, targets, and performance indicators for your team
- Conduct Performance reviews and manage the team by the measurement system
- Ensure team adheres to company policies and well as disciplinary code and that corrective action is taken in line with the policy
- Share during meetings the company's core goals, targets, values, and strategic priorities with the team
- Implement a training development plan for the team and ensure the team attends training
- Develop a working environment that improves productivity, motivation, and morale of the team

**Warehouse Management**
- Manage all stock and inventory by ensuring that proper control systems are adhered to
- Responsible for stock takes and ensuring stock balances with limited variances
- Ensure team updates and uses the warehouse system efficiently
- Ensure all products issued to the customer are according to quality specification standard
- Assist team with picking and packing stock where required

**Despatch Management**
- Accountable for ensuring all containers have been checked before departure and all documentation has been completed as per company procedure
- Accountable for ensuring all delivery vehicles have been checked before departure & all documentation has been completed as per procedure
- Reconciling and updating the system with outgoing stock and returns/stock not delivered
- Complete Goods Returned Notes for Credit Notes
- Ensure all goods are received accurately and in good order

**Driver Management**
- Responsible for the fill rate (Economical Fuel Usage on vehicles)
- Responsible for route planning and that there is an effective vehicle plan to achieve the lowest cost with a good quality level
- Maintaining all fixed assets in stores (Forklifts and Vehicles)
- Responsible for ensuring that all drivers are wearing the correct uniform and that vehicles are inspected, clean, and in roadworthy condition
- Responsible for managing drivers regarding on-time deliveries, overtime, absenteeism, time taken to deliver, etc.

**Housekeeping**
- Responsible for ensuring world-class housekeeping standards. Everything in its place and always clean
- Ensure the team adheres to health and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure a safe working environment by checking that there are no unsafe conditions or equipment/ tools**Inherent Requirements**

**Minimum requirements for this position include**:

- Minimum Matric, added advantage is a tertiary qualification
- Warehouse Management System Experience is essential ( min 2 years)
- Must be Fully Computer Literate
- Must have strong Interpersonal Skills
- Must have good Planning and Organizing skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to work long hours
