Title: Vice President for Asset Protection & Security:
Summary:
Design and direct strategies to ensure Group operations, policies and procedures in areas of responsibility meet regulatory requirements and reflect mínimal financial and reputational risk exposure to the business. The role plays a key role in protecting the brand.

Responsible to create the conditions to work in a safe environment through protection of our assets, an effective security and investigations strategy to ultimately benefit our customers, associates and suppliers and in support of the operational efficiencies towards higher revenue, profit generation and targeted shrinkage levels.

**Functions / Responsibilities**:

- Implement Asset Protection (AP) and Security Strategies, Policies, Standards and Control Programs
- Provide vision, direction and leadership to the Group Asset Protection (AP) & Security team
- Provide a strong central oversight to guarantee consistency and quality in Asset Protection and Security processes across the Group.
- Lead the Asset Protection program across the Group ensuring periodic assessments and prioritization of these programs including risk mapping and gap analysis in order to establish a proper allocation of resources.
- Develop and maintain Group Asset Protection and Security policies, standards and control programs. Further ensure that controls are robust to ensure that Policies are auditable.
- Ensure Risk mitigation and to reduce exposure through assessing AP risk, monitoring compliance in respect to accepted best business practices.
- Adopt a risk based approach to prioritize focus, and through engaging with leadership and business in respect to responding to potential exposure in an appropriate and sustainable manner.
- Facilitate all Asset Protection Compliance legislation/validations that are required internally.
- Ensure the implementation and training of the relevant AP & Security criteria among Leadership. Further ensure tracking and modification of training programs based on emerging risks and threats.
- Ensure an on-going partnership between Asset Protection, Enterprise Risk and Ethics & Compliance and further to ensure alliance
- Manage assets and Security through operational efficiencies and create a safer business environment
- Ensure Asset Protection & Security Assessments to evaluate program effectiveness and execution across the Group
- Oversight of Action Plans with regards to Asset Protection throughout the Group through engagement and collaboration
- Establish a business partnership by engaging with leadership, employees and stakeholders by communicating opportunities, results and expectations
- Provide oversight to all related Security contracts with all Security Service Providers throughout the business
- Manage the Group annual budget with regards Asset Protection & Security
- Engage and collaborate with Leadership and other external Risk related bodies/Advisory Consultants
- Ensure clear and consistent messaging across all brands and functions across the Group
- Liaise and meet with the Asset Protection Teams on an ad hoc basis via an invitation
- Liaise monthly with Police, CGCSA, Fire and Emergency Services, Safety, Occupational Health, Fire Protection and Security Service Providers/Associations as well as other risk related bodies, including insurers
- Liaise with the Group CEO every quarter regarding any corporate or store performance related Asset Protection and Security issues.
- Liaise regularly with leaders of the various Brands & Corporate Support Functions regarding any corporate or store performance related Asset Protection and Security issues
- Lead the Asset Protection Forum
- Crime & Safety Investigations
- Ensure that all corporate and field investigations are managed consistently with applicable laws and policies. Develop and perform periodic reviews of operational and regulatory SOPs.
- Provide oversight and reporting on all efforts in respect to crime and safety accident investigations across the Group
- Accountable for all major Investigations on shrink, IOD’s and Fatalities in all countries where the Company operates
- Liaise with SAPS, GGCSA Risk Initiative and Department of Justice on key investigations in the various countries where The Group operates
- Business Continuity Management (BCM)
- Develop a strategy on delivery of the (BCM) program for all areas of the Group
- Ensure appropriate corporate wide contingency planning and analysis of processes for BCM. Play and active role in the development, implementation and adherence of these strategies. Oversee incident command & crisis management

- Business Continuity Planning (BCP) & Disaster Recovery plans are updated quarterly for the Group
- The BCP and Disaster Recoveries are kept updated where Company Operates.
