Contracts Manager

Our client, a leading supplier of Transport, Distribution and Logistics Services in South Africa and Southern Africa, wants to appoint a Contracts Manager. The overall objective of this position is to effectively manage and oversee all operational and tactical aspects of the depot from productivity (of staff and vehicles) and maintenance to ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and clients’ SLAs are achieved. Experience in managing a fleet of transportation heavy duty vehicles is essential.
**Responsibilities**:
Budget Control:
Sign off, manage target and budget goals on a monthly basis whilst ensuring effective control of costs for the operations to increase cost efficiency in the depot.
- Creditors Management; Insurance claims, traffic fines, vehicle maintenance; Management of driver hours; Budget and Resource Planning; Increase productivity, assets capacity and flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards; Allocate resources effectively and fully utilise assets to produce optimal results; and Plan, organise, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations.
Effective Client Service Management:
- Service Culture - Deliver within SLA; Partnership Management - Cultivate objective working relationships with variety of stakeholders (e.g. HR team, IT, Clients); Client Relationship Management - Daily client interactions on the frontline. Solve challenges and queries to reduce complaints; and Depot and Service Excellence - Enable depot service delivery through implementing systems and processes to improve service and implement quality systems and metrics for management
Operational Execution:
Oversee and manage fleet/operations managers
Site Management
**Qualifications**:
- Matric
- Computer Literacy (MS Office, Outlook)
- Advanced Studies (Tertiary Diploma/Degree) advantageous
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in transport environment.
- Proven track record managing portfolio of customers.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Specific industry experience beneficial.

- Excellent administrative skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills
- Able to work well with a team and under pressure.
- Must be diligent and time competent in order to meet deadlines.
- Must be customer service focused.
- Must be honest, reliable and trustworthy.
- Be willing to work flexible hours.
- Be willing to perform duties on weekends.

**Salary**: R33,000.00 - R36,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
