**ROLE PROFILE**
**Role Title: Supply Chain Planner**
**Salary Bracket**:R25,000 to R35,000 per month Total Cost to Company
**Requirement**:As soon as possible
The role requires an individual with a tertiary qualification.
Expert skills in Excel are a prerequisite with the ability to perform If Queries, Vlookups and Pivot Analyses at a minimum.
It is a requirement that the individual has knowledge of some supply chain planning technology such as Inventory Optimisation, WMS, and Routing and Scheduling software.
The role reports into the Operations Executive.
With growth led by an innovative leadership team, complexity is embraced through best-of-breed supply chain planning tools.
**Main Purpose of the Role**
To provide a professional, efficient and effective service to support the general functioning of the supply chain.
As part of the Supply Chain organisation, your purpose is to ensure that product is delivered on-time, in-full, in-quality, at the right price to customers.
As the Supply Chain Planning Manager your role looks across supply chain functions from purchasing to customer delivery, and returns; and across regions
**Key Responsibilities**:

Inventory Purchasing and Deployment
- The role includes planning of optimal ordering on suppliers considering leadtimes, stock availability and demand offtake to minimise inventory levels while maximising product availability
- Fulfilling the role of Super-User of the Inventory Ordering tools and systems
- Monitor the process to manage shelf life and product expiry
International Logistics
- With a significant portion of our product imported, the Supply Chain Manager continually looks for opportunities to cost effectively land the product incountry
- Liasing with overseas suppliers is imperative to ensure the smooth coordination of consolidations across multiple suppliers
Transport and Distribution Planning
- Interacting with transporters managing rates and terms for longhaul
- Super-User and custodian of the transport scheduling tools
- Optimal loading for inter-facility transport incorporating must-go and can-go options
- Reviewing metrics to ensure best use of couriers
Other
- Co-ordinate stock takes to ensure that the system numbers reflect reality
- Co-ordinate activities and liaise relationships across product suppliers, warehouse service providers, transporters, bespoke supply chain tools and system integration, etc
- Co-ordinate and liaise activities across the regions’ execution departments of warehousing and distribution
- Maintaining a centre of excellence of supply chain best practices that can be rolled out to the regions
- Working with warehousing upstream and Sales and Invoicing downstream to ensure integration across functions
- Administration of master data to reflect inventory ordering and deployment, and transport and distribution planning
- Manage returns and credits
- Any other ad hoc duties
