Senior Supply Chain Planner

As an Executive Search and Career Consultant specializing in the niche market of Supply Chain, I represent some of the top leaders and am called upon by blue chip organizations in the country to secure talent and assist them in building high performance teams.
One such client of mine is a Global Resourcing Company and they are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Planner to be based at their South African Head Office in Johannesburg.
The incumbent of this position will be responsible to overview and optimise several planning functions within supply chain by monitoring and reviewing planning systems and processes, taking designated end-to-end processes for a defined area within Supply Chain, analyse current processes and recommend improvements based on best practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Commerce or Engineering, with supply chain management, logistics or industrial engineering as specialization.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 5 to 7 Years’ experience in a relevant supply chain / logistics role in large (Heavy Industry or Mining) environment, with exposure to spectrum of supply chain functions of which includes:
- 2 to 3 Years in supervisory role and
- 2 to 3 Years in MRP (or equivalent) role within large (Heavy Industry/Mining) operational environment
