An established and rapidly expanding local and international apparel and fashion business is seeking to permanently employ an Planner at the Cape Town office, or Remotely. This is an excellent opportunity to work with established and international fashion and apparel brands

**Overall Task**

The Planner is responsible for assisting to maximize business profits through effective management of stores merchandise assortment, through the product life cycle of the merchandise in each store group.
- Financial accountability - Trading the stores to maximize profit in each sector / Grade/ Store Type.
- Planning a strategic framework around space, customers, store status, grade, and capacity
- Team management and development
- Range management - optimized to each store’s potential
- Optimization of profitability by store and store type / group
- OTB Management - Strategic Planning of categories to optimise stock efficiencies
- Budget Planning by department

Must have
- National Senior Certificate (Matric) with Mathematics / Accounting
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Strong financial and commercial business acumen
- Bachelor’s degree in math, business, fashion related field or equivalent experience
- 4 - 5 Years relevant retail experience in a Junior Planner or Allocators role within the fashion industry
- Ability to coach, develop and lead an allocator
- Strong analytical and computer skills
- Effective, proven negotiation, planning, organizational and influencing skills
- Ability to work under pressure, work to tight deadlines, prioritize and manage expectations, and multitask
- Knowledge of competitors with the ability to form educated opinions to effect commercial decisions
- A high attention to detail
- Confident and engaging communicator with the ability to deliver presentations and influence key stake holders

**Salary**: R35k - R45k p/month, dependant on skills and experience
