Security / Loss Prevention Officer (Stock Control)

**Purpose of the Position**:
**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- **Y*_**ou need to be available immediately*_
- Grade 11 required
- PSIRA Grade C Registered desirable (PSIRA Grade D Registered at minimum required)
- 2 - 3 years manned loss prevention retail security experience required
- Previous experience in client facing role required
- Previous experience working in the board, warehousing or transport industries desirable

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Access control, stock loss and theft prevention at the company in Strand
- Check stock, vehicles and invoices in line with security systems and procedures
- Ensure invoices are filed correctly and invoice irregularities are reported to General Manager
- Assist with returns, damages and customer queries regarding invoice discrepancies
- Ensure staff comply with security systems and procedures and report any irregularities
- Report any security related incidents to Branch General Manager and National Security Manager
- Assisting National Security manager and Branch General Manger incident investigations
- Identify shortcomings with security, access and loss control systems and procedures and report to Branch General Manager and National Security Manager
- As required, train branch employees on loss control systems and procedures
- Check building, fences, cameras and operation of security gates when starting a shift and report any problems to the Branch General Manager
- Ensure doors and gates are locked and alarm is functioning before leaving the premises each day
- Perform adhoc security related task as prescribed by the Branch General Manager and National Security Manager

**Salary**: R27.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Strand, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
