This role is responsible for managing and supporting analytical work as well as project based work which varies from business process to large scale projects.

Good communication, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills are required to be successful in this role. This role creates great value for the business by supporting large scale initiatives and deriving high quality, actionable recommendations that will be integral in leadership decisions.

**Job Description**:
Job Responsibilities
- Help manage large scale, data science projects that leverage data transformation and machine learning models
- Balance the complexity of data, coding/visualization platforms, and customer demands to develop first class solutions and insights for leadership
- Automate and streamline projects to increase efficiencies and scalability
- Brainstorm for alternative procedures and processing to optimize our interaction with data and find new insights for deliverables
- Developing data science projects by defining objectives and establishing timelines
- Reporting results of data science projects to stakeholders, including executives and department managers
- Determining the technical requirements for data science projects
- Working with other departments within an organization to ensure that their data science needs are met
- Communicating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to provide updates on progress and ensure alignment with objectives
- Coordinating with data and engineering teams to ensure that the infrastructure needed to support data science projects is available
- Reviewing data science proposals to determine whether they are feasible based on available resources
- Developing training materials for employees in order to improve their data science skills
- Knowledge of financial crimes will be an advantage

**Qualifications**:
Required:

- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience with focus on advanced analytics and predictive modeling
- Experience managing multiple projects at once
- Deep knowledge about machine learning and deep learning algorithms
- Advanced coding experience in at least one language (Python, R, SQL)
- Advanced experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI)
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or related field
- Masters will be an advantage

Bachelor Honours Degree: Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences (required)
