- Evaluate customer RFQ
- Prepare a quotation for the customer by calculating labour costs, machine costs and material costs
- Understand the needs of our various customers and understand the competitive landscape to ensure we quote accurately
- Analyse product documents, gerbers, Bill of Materials and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Determine factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor
- Arrange and chair a process review meeting with the production and engineering teams to champion cost and process activities.
- Work with buyers to obtain material costs that fits the customers requirements (lead time, price, alternates), Critically assess buyers buy lists for errors before submission
- Collaborate with customers engineers, clients, suppliers, and production team to obtain information required to prepare an accurate quotation
- Cost estimates shall be prepared in a spreadsheet format in accordance with cost estimating procedures and policies.
- Presenting prepared estimates to management and other clients.
- Create and maintain costed Bill of Materials (BoM's) that are tracked, updated, and reviewed.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and customers
- Prepare reports detailing all the costs going into a product.
- Notice differences between estimated cost and actual cost
- Work with the sales team to prepare proposals
- Track all quotes for follow-up

**Minimum and Key Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
- Must demonstrate a good understanding of electronic manufacturing and components
- At least 5 years of related experience required.
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to put together a professional presentation
- Ability to create reports on costing data
- Amazing analytical and math skills
- Ability to work well on a team
- Very detail oriented
- Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements
- Deep knowledge of how processes work
