**Main Objective**
- Manage company risks and bad debt in order to eliminate or minimise trading risk.
- Analyse information on prospective customers in order for the Business to make informed decisions prior to opening accounts.
- Prepare data for risk assessments and financial analysis of all customers.
- Liaise with customers on their credit issues and follow-up on complaints to ensure effective credit management.
- Responsible for the administration and reconciliation of accounts to ensure accurate Credit Data.
- Responsible for legal compliance in respect of customer relationships and liquidations.
- Ensuring that the Company operates within the Credit Insurance requirements to minimise credit risk.
- Ensure effective risk management and governance by ensuring compliance with the Group Credit Policy and Procedures.
- Monitor debtors exposure.
- Prepare monthly reports to highlight risk areas which are reported on an Exco level as well as debtors review with the Credit Exco Team.
- Drive an improvement in the risk profile of the debtors book including monitoring COD and other collection processes in order to mitigate risk
- Research disputes and resolve queries, including reconciling to effectively facilitate the collection of cash.
- Ensure staff are effectively managed and held accountable through performance and disciplinary procedures, and that staff are developed and mentored.

**Critical job requirements**

**Qualification(s)**
- Grade 12
- Business Degree in Credit Management
- Membership of Institute of Credit Control

**Knowledge**
- Credit Management Practices and Principles
- SAP
- Accounting practices
- Credit Legislation and business rescue
- Credit Insurance and Bureaus
- Exports

**Skills**
- Customer credit relationship management
- Communication skills (Written and Verbal)
- Reconciliation of debt accounts

- Advanced Excel

**Experience**
- 8 years Debtors Experience
- Customer credit relationship management
