Our client operating in the food sector is seeking an ambitious individual, with the drive to develop and grow in the organisation and is very organised and structured. To supervise the safe execution of Production activities to achieve production, safety and quality targets in the Packing Plant.

**Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills**:

- Degree or Diploma (Chemical/Industrial Engineering/ Food Sciences/ Biotechnology)
- Advantageous qualifications: Management qualification
- 5 - 10 years relevant experience in a related role within the food processing and manufacturing environment
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Plant experience essential - Production background
- SAP experience advantageous, Planning experience with experience in the Food background
- Demonstrate an understanding of food or beverage safety practices and procedures in the food or beverage production environment
- Demonstrate an understanding of occupational health, safety and environmental legislation relevant
- Must be Criminal and ITC clear
- South African Citizen

**Key Role Responsibilities**:

- Monitor Capacity Utilisation
- Monitor Process and Production inefficiencies improvements
- Monitor Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) losses
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Conduct Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) studies
- Comply with all Quality and Food Safety related legislation.
- Achieve production targets as per the Production Plan
- Receive Material from Suppliers
- Manage and Control Production stock takes
- Manage the recipes in the control system
- Assist Technical in all Trials and Projects
- Participate in planned 6-Sigma activities in line with company objectives
- Maintain health, safety, and environment within the internal environment
- Comply to Legislation as set out in the OSH Act and to organisational standards
- Maintain and improve compliance status to quality standards such as ISO9000, FSSC22000 etc.
- Monitor and control costs in the area of responsibility
- Protect company assets (working capital & fixed assets)
- Report Daily Production
- Plan, organise and monitor work in own area of responsibility

Ensure discipline is maintained in the department
