**Requirements**:

- Grade 12.
- Experience - Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
- Computer skills in Excel.

**Responsibilities**:
**Knowledge of the Product**:

- Ensure that the staff including yourself is knowledgeable regarding all the products.

**Customer Service/ Customer Care**:

- Ensure that every customer that enters the retail store receives extraordinary service.

**Sales Targets**:

- Responsible to meet the sales targets / budgets that are set for the store.
- Daily Targets should be set and then measured as the month progresses to determine how far ahead / behind the store is in achieving the requirement.

**Selling Skills**:

- Add on Sales - in every sale there is an opportunity to add on to the sale. Complementary products to the product being bought, or through the asking questions you can determine that there is another sales opportunity.
- Up-Sell - This skill is getting a customer to purchase an item that is more expensive than
- the product that the customer was originally looking at purchasing. This is done by promoting the features, advantages and benefits of the more expensive item.

**Merchandising and Display**:

- You will get assistance from people at Head Office in determining the displays, layout etc.
- Responsibility to ensure that the store and the displays are managed and look good.

**Marketing**:

- To ensure that all marketing material is displayed properly in the store.
- To ensure that the marketing material is kept is good presentable shape.
- To ensure that when a particular promotion / sale has ended that the marketing material is taken down and packed away safely so that it can be used again in the future.
- To ensure that the day to day signage / stands are used properly.

**Administration Duties**:

- Cash ups.
- New stock codes and Descriptions.
- Costs and Retail Pricing.
- Ensure the correct barcode is put on the items.
- Stock receipts.
- Ensure that the sales for the items on consignment are sent either on a weekly or monthly basis dependant on the requirement.

**Asset Protection and Security**:

- Ensure that all assets of the Retail Store is looked after and protected at all times.
- Diligent in making sure that theft, either from the outside or from the staff on the inside, does not take place.
- Assets as defined include but may not be limited to the following:
1) Stock
- 2) Cash
- 3) Electronic equipment
- 4) Fixtures and Fittings**Management**:

- All the points mentioned above needs to be Managed on a daily basis.
- Part of management is also to take action when instructions are not obeyed or staff members may show disrespect or may not conform to the rules and regulations of the business, shopping centre or Health and Safety act.
