**Industry Development Manager**

**Position Purpose**

The purpose of this position is to interact with and facilitate the Implementation of the PtSA Mission by direct interface with the Tool, Die, Mould and Special Machining and the manufacturing industries to achieve Industries’ Vision objectives at a regional level

**Key Result Areas**
- Develop, build, and maintain operational relations with the tooling and manufacturing industry and Member Companies
- Marketing/promotion of the Production Technologies Association of South Africa and the Tool, Die, Mould and Special Machining industry
- Industry networking and business to business facilitation
- Identify and recruit tooling and manufacturing companies for PtSA membership.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge and experience of machinery and equipment for the relevant industry
- Identify and recruit Tool, Die, Mould and Special Machining companies for enterprise development projects
- Identify and recruit companies in the tooling and manufacturing industry to host apprentice On-the-Job training elements
- Developing, implementing and maintain social media platforms' content strategies and campaigns
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and social media platforms

**Core activities**
- Establish, develop and maintaining contact with Tool, Die, Mould and Special Machining (TDM) Industry at an executive and operational level
- Direct support and co-ordinating support to TDM Industry
- Effectively market the PtSA association at a regional level
- Interface between Regional TDM industry structure and PtSA management
- Consulting at all levels within PtSA and Industry
- To be aware of and reporting industry status/concerns
- Direct face of the PtSA Group
- Membership Recruitment
- Industry and Provincial Government participation
- Networking Events
- Identifying and recruit companies for benchmarking and intervention project
- Sourcing and moderating OJT’s students
- Student and company OJT training
- Student recruitment
- Contract negotiations.

**Education Requirements**
- Relevant Marketing and Sales Qualification
- Relevant Toolmaking and/or Engineering Qualification/experience would be an added advantage

**Experience Requirements**
- Relevant manufacturing and tooling industry experience
- Managerial/supervisory experience
- 5+years’ experience in sales and marketing

**General information**
- Job Type: Permanent
- Licence: Current valid, Code B / EB (required)
- Salary package: Market related
- Travelling will be required
