Our client is a leading real estate investment fund listed on the JSE. Through the acquisition of well-positioned assets, this dynamic business has built up a strong and diversified portfolio consisting of commercial, retail and industrial assets. With a current portfolio exceeding R10 Billion, this versatile business also oversees the management of their assets in-house to ensure the delivery of premium service to their tenants. With capacity in their Gauteng based team, they are currently seeking a hard-working and technically inclined Junior Operations Manager to join the business. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, you will provide operational support and assist with the day-to-day operations of retail centres. Some of your duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Executing all tasks according to standard operating procedures.
- Monthly operational and facilities report and audit for each property.
- Resolving day-to-day maintenance queries and cleanliness of properties.
- Engaging with servicer providers for appropriate quotations and sign off for planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Follow-up and sign-off (finalising) for active jobs being performed in all regions.
- Ensuring the cost of work undertaken by contractors and service providers is continually monitored.
- Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards
- Conduct regular meetings with service providers for each property.
- Inspect each property on a weekly basis and oversee cleaning, security, landscaping.
- Keep all PPM (Preventative Maintenance) files up to date and co sign off on all inspection sheets and service reports.

To qualify for this position, you will need to have a Matric Certificate and have a minimum of 3 years’ Operations Management experience looking after retail portfolios. A solid understanding of the Health and Safety Acts and regulations, as well as building compliance is essentially to succeed in this role. Experience with MDA property software will be advantageous. Travelling falls part of the role so a vechile is required.
