Retail Accounts Credit Controller

- Full function of the collection of due and overdue accounts. Achieve monthly targets set.
- Customer account reconciliations.
- Attend to all customer account queries with a minimum of delay, and daily follow up on progress.
- Assess and align customer credit limits - according to set procedures - to be in line with the National Credit Act.
- Credit reviews of existing accounts to facilitate sales growth for the business.
- Relief Cash Office duties as and when required.
- Distribution of documents to pre-legal team for unpaid and/or overdue accounts.
- Distribution of monthly statements, copy tax invoices and credit notes to all customers on the debtor’s book.
- Daily/weekly/monthly running of reports.
- Submission of reports to management for book reviews and monthly overdue accounts.
- Must do monthly stock take duties as requirement by management.
- Back up in the cash office and other tasks when department is short staffed.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Computer Literacy - MS Office (Word, Excel - Advance, Outlook, Power Point).
- Certificate in Credit Management up to Level 3.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a debtor’s department.
- Experience with a minimum book value of over R50 million.
- Must have retail accounts experience.
- Must have knowledge of data loading of invoices on vendor portals like HP.
- Experience and system knowledge of Axapta ERP a plus.
- Experience working in a cash office with customers.
