Our client, a well-established supply chain equipment company, is seeking to employ a **Continuous Improvement (CI) Analyst **at their head office in the **Northern Suburbs.**

**Overview of the CI Analyst role**:
Our client’s Continuous Improvement Team leads and supports the delivery of programs and projects to continuously improve operational or business processes to align with business strategies.

The CI Analyst will mostly play a Business Analyst as well as Data Analyst role in the company and will employ an understanding of the various data sources, systems, and data fields to analyse the quality of data, conduct root cause analysis and generate proposals to improve data quality, access and management.

Using a combination of analytical expertise, some business acumen, project and relationship management skills, the incumbent will extract reporting requirements from business and deliver on these.

**Role requirements**:
This role is for individuals who have a passion for analysing data with the aim of generating operational, tactical, and strategic insights through collaboration and business understanding with key stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of transport operational business, with strong relationship building and communication skills.
- Work with key stakeholders to understand the business problem / requirement and translate this into a technical specification / requirement (storyboarding).
- Play a key role in the UAT phase within the Data Ops process in order to test a created report and measure against the storyboard as per operational requirement.
- Assess Control Tower gaps in operational, tactical, and strategic reporting, understand the detailed requirement and implement applicable reporting to answer to its needs.
- Work with the Continuous Improvement Team to improve on data visualization and reporting capability of the company in order to enable decision making in operations.
- Collaborate well with Data Engineers / Data Ops team to build tools, dashboards and automate processes or tasks.
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills.
- Demonstrable experience with Power BI (other additional data visualisation software tools advantageous).

**Minimum qualifications and required experience**:

- Minimum qualification - Relevant Data-related Degree / Diploma.
- Preferred qualification - BSc Degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst.
- Experience in a Logistics / Transport environment.
- Basic knowledge of data warehouses and the Data Ops process.
