Our client, a well-run, vibrant, community focused Pharmacy has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Manager with hospital experience. You will be accountable for delivering high standards of pharmaceutical care, the end-to-end management of dispensary operations in accordance with Good Pharmacy Practice. Ideally you will have a minimum of 4 - 5 years’ experience.

You will be responsible for the following:
Provide a high standard of pharmaceutical service and care to customers

Provision of advice and pharmacy-initiated therapy

Scheduled substance and dispensary stock control

Efficient dispensary administration

Accurate and safe dispensing of medication

Ad hoc responsibilities as required to support the operational requirements of the pharmacy

Assist with the ordering of stock

Capture scripts and dispense medicines

Participate in monitoring visits and audits as necessary

Ensure pharmacy files are inspection ready

Review and execute physician’s prescriptions checking the appropriateness and legality

Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labelling medicine and other products and monitor the condition to prevent expiring or deterioration

Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding heavy medication

Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice

Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient

Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster

Perform all the applicable duties as described in Good Pharmacy Practice

**Education**:
Matric

B.Sc /M.Sc (Pharmaceuticals) Degree

Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council

4 - 5 Years’ experience as a Pharmacy Manager within a hospital

Excellent in English and Afrikaans

Ability to work independently and within a team

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Excellent ability to build interpersonal relationships

Strong decision making and problem solving

Detailed oriented

Work standards

Excellent planning and organizational skills

Demonstrable team player capabilities

Pay: R60 000,00 - R65 000,00 per month
