Well rounded Presales Solution Architect required for a South African enterprise IT service provider who provides top IT products from international resellers.
- Attend and participate in internal and external meetings relevant to the pre-sales cycle.
- Actively drive and manage the technology evaluation part of the sales process.
- Identify technical solutions that meet business objectives and use the most cost-effective solutions to meet business requirements.
- Articulate the technology choices and communicate the value of the solutions/services to business and technical prospective users and decision makers.
- Create and deliver technical demonstrations/presentations to support the sales cycle
- Ensure collaboration with vendors and manage SLA’s, customers and partners to understand the latest offerings.
- Execute on established plans to prevent post-sales issues that can impact time to revenue
- Identify any custom technical requirements and coordinate as necessary with the product team.
- Maintain broad and up-to-date knowledge of product portfolio and solutions offered.
- Meet pre-sales targets and provide necessary reporting to track progress.
- Optimize current processes and ensure ongoing process improvement.
- Plan and prioritize opportunities for utmost productivity and efficiency.
- Validate software, hardware and services pricing and margins based on the scope of work.
- Influence buyers by upselling new and improved product offerings.

**Experience**:

- 5 - 10 years experience in bespoke technical solutions covering enterprise storage, networking and switching, backup and recovery, cloud solutions, data migration, data security and compliance.
- Experience with building custom solutions working with vendors.
- Client interfacing, relationship building, and consulting skills required.
- Ability to understand complex technical problems and explain solutions in simple terms
- Ability to cross-sell various solutions across data centers, cloud solutions and storage.
