**Job Title**: Accounting Manager (Contract Role) - Hybrid in South Africa

Remoteca is hiring an Accounting Manager on behalf of our client, a leading company in the compliance and security solutions industry. The company is on a High growth trajectory in the Saas industry. This is a hybrid role based in South Africa, requiring in-office presence three days a week. The position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects with a dynamic team.

**Role Overview**:
As the Accounting Manager, you will lead the daily operations of the finance department, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and financial regulations. You will manage financial reporting, oversee accounting staff, and drive process improvements. This is a contract position that demands strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a solutions-oriented mindset. It is critical that you have 5 years post qualified experience and that you are efficient with excel macros and building reports on accounting systems such and Oracle NetSuite. Client is looking for a doer who can work autonomously to improve and make the finance function efficient. US Gaap and in particular ASC 606 is critical.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Process Improvement**:_
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
- Implement systems to minimize manual processes and enhance transparency.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies and streamline workflows.
- Leverage technology, including NetSuite and advanced spreadsheets, to optimize processes and reduce human error.

**Financial Reporting**:

- Lead month-end close processes and generate financial statements.
- Oversee general ledger operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support audits and implement measures to mitigate financial risks.
- **Accounts Payable/Receivable Management**:_
- Supervise invoicing, collections, and payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and implement effective collection strategies.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable invoices.
- **Team Leadership**:_
- Mentor and develop accounting staff.
- Recruit and evaluate team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA required.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC-606.
- Expertise in financial systems (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced spreadsheet tools (Excel macros).
- Proven track record in process improvement and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
- **Location & Work Arrangement**:_ This role is based in South Africa, with a hybrid working model requiring three days per week in the office.Pay: R850 000,00 - R1 200 000,00 per year

**Experience**:

- Advanced Excel Macros: 3 years (required)
