Purpose of the position: This is a highly successful cash management processes company who need an ATM demand Planner:
Responsible for the creation of realistic cash demand forecasts and replenishment plans to enable optimal cash activities for delivery against specified service requirements, costs, and risk levels. The job is ultimately accountable for optimal planning of overall cash inventory, movement, and handling costs at acceptable service & residual risk levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Short
- and medium-term operational planning for various cash points like Branches and Merchant ATMs
- Optimal cash inventory management considering associated cash handling and movement costs
- Interpret MIS (trend analysis, decision making, recommendations)
- Exception management with regards to daily cash settlements between banks and CIT.
- Investigation and resolution of cash queries relating to cash movements, costs, settlements, and reconciliations
- Management of master data for Data warehouse
- Establish and define risk control limits and insurance requirements for cash movement and storage.
- Effective collaboration with regional and provincial stakeholders
- Timely and accurate resolution of queries and service failures
- Reduction in overall cost of cash (Cash Holdings)
- Adherence to defined operational risk & controls
- Adherence to specified service levels
- Business continuity plans
- Reports to regional stakeholders

Query Management
- Receive all queries from the Incident Management System
- Investigate, identify the root cause of the query, and resolve timeously
- Contact branch/ Call Centre/CIT for relevant information based on the query in the case of discrepancies
- Perform goodwill payments upon authorization from Management
- As part of the investigation process request for video footage from the relevant parties
- Generate daily MIS/stats and reports for management
- Ensure the queries are closed within sunset or the next business day by midday
- Ensure claims are investigated and supported with relevant information

Cash planning
- Ensure that cash orders are submitted within the agreed cut off times
- Ensure you adhere to the overnight limits
- Ensure your banking statements reconciles with the daily floor limits at the CIT premises
- Analyze cash stock daily to ensure you do not overstock cash
- Analyze cash paid out trends to try and prevent cash outs
- Analyze cash denomination mix to ensure the ATMs are aligned to the cash paid out trends

Account Reconciliation
- Ensure the cash and suspense accounts are reconciled daily
- Ensure that outstanding entries are investigated and corrected
- Escalate entries that are outstanding for longer than 2 days to the Team leader and on day 3 to the Manager

Qualifications and Experience
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Degree in business management /commerce /finance
- Experience in resolving customer queries
- 2-3 years' experience in Cash and ATMs
- Experience in cash planning and recon
- A valid driver's license
- Clear criminal and credit record
- Contactable via own mobile phone
