**Purpose of the position**
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our asset
management team as a Data Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible
for accurately setting up and maintaining instrument and portfolio-related data on our
systems, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data. You will collaborate with various
teams to gather instrument and portfolio-related information, perform data validations,
and support data governance initiatives within the organization.

**Key responsibilities of the position**
1. Accurately setting up and maintaining instrument and portfolio-related data within

the asset management systems (Front Office, Warehouse and Back Office systems),
which will be performed on a daily basis.

2. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including the portfolio management team,
traders, and investment operations teams, to gather instrument and/or portfolio
- related information required for setup.

3. Performing data validations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of
instrument data (mainly Fixed Income) by corroborating market and other internal
related documents and datasets from external and internal data providers.

4. Analysing, investigating and resolving portfolio holdings reconciliation (IBOR)
variances before signing off on a daily basis.

5. Enhancing and/or developing sound data analyses.

6. Conducting research and liaising with external data providers to obtain accurate and
up-to-date instrument data.

7. Developing and maintaining standards, guidelines and principles for data setup
(instrument and portfolio) and maintaining updated process documents.

8. Monitoring and reviewing data quality and resolving any data discrepancies or issues
promptly.

9. Reporting on the data quality and discrepancies by developing sound metrics, and
relaying these to Management.

10. Working closely with the Enterprise Solutions team to identify and implement
enhancements and projects relating to data setup processes and systems.

11. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliance with data governance policies
and procedures.

12. Providing support and guidance to other teams regarding instrument and portfolio
data setup and maintenance.

13. Staying updated with industry trends and changes in instrument-related data
requirements and standards.

14. Contributing to process improvements and optimisation initiatives within the
instruments management function.

**Knowledge and experience required**

**Skills, know-how and experience**:_ _**:

- Minimum of three years’ experience in asset management instrument and portfolio

administration, or a related operational role;
- An understanding of instruments (Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives) and
operations within asset management;
- Strong technical knowledge of different portfolios and financial instruments;
- Relevant experience in asset management administration (Fixed Interest
advantageous);
- Experience in projects;
- Proficiency in Hiport, CRIMs and Infostore; and
- Proficiency in Excel (including formulae, and the manipulation of data and
spreadsheets).
