Our client, a privately owned Group whose activities focus on the manufacture and distribution of products sold into the mining and industrial sectors in South Africa and export markets, seeks to appoint a CFO / Financial Director.

Our client is an entrepreneurially managed, growing Group with headquarters in Durban and manufacturing facilities in Durban and Cape Town. It has a national footprint of distribution outlets in South Africa and distribution subsidiaries in Africa.

Responsibilities of the position include:

- Responsibility for management of all financial functions and risk management of the Group
- Management of the accounting and HR departments
- Liaison with auditors and company secretary
- Relationships with bankers, funders and shareholders
- Providing commercial / management & financial support to business
- Evaluation of new business and investment opportunities
- Be a registered CA (SA)
- At least 3 years of post-qualifying experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment in the role of CFO or FD
- Track record of successful management of the accounting function in a manufacturing and Group environment
- Sound general business management skills
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Ability to motivate staff
- Willingness to travel regularly within South Africa

Remuneration offered is market related, competitive and will include a salary and performance bonus.
