Our client in the Financial industry is looking for a Technical Solutions Architect, who will be based at their offices in Cape Town.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of technological strategies.
- Coordinate and drive the strategy’s delivery, collaborating with business, technology, and development teams as well as external partners.
- Foster strong architectural standards and advocate best practices across the Group.
- Establish cloud design rules and regulations to ensure uniformity.
- Implement effective governance structures to steer technology usage, adoption, and management activities.
- Consult with management on matters pertaining to information security, including processes, products, and services.
- Shape and modify strategies based on anticipated future conditions and past trends.
- Monitor and manage financial plans for IT strategy, projects, and operations.
- Supervise the design and operational modifications to guarantee the alignment of development solutions and architecture with best practices.
- Investigate and assess emerging technologies, including cloud and Anything-as-a-Service solutions.
- Regularly evaluate technologies, suppliers, and processes to drive efficiency and influence business decisions.
- Scrutinize and manage contracts and agreements with service providers and vendors.

**Technical Non-Negotiables**:

- A demonstrable track record of at least 15 years in technology architecture and management.
- Broad experience in the complete IT lifecycle includes change and risk management, infrastructure architecture, service delivery, and software development principles.
- Extensive practical and architectural familiarity with Microsoft Azure and 365 platforms.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity architecture design and governance across both Data Centre and Cloud environments.
- Familiarity with frameworks and standards like ISO27001, NIST, ITIL, and COBIT.
- Demonstrated success in supporting high-performing teams within operations and development environments.
- Robust understanding of technical architecture and the design and delivery of Enterprise and Cloud technologies.
- Experience in technical design and integration within a sizable division or organization.
- Insight into financial sector regulations and compliance, such as POPIA, and their technical implications.
- Assertiveness and strong communication skills that facilitate interaction at all levels.

**Minimum requirements**:
A relevant ICT Degree or Diploma
