The Senior Inbound FIT Reservations Consultant is responsible for planning and designing travel experiences and handling FIT bookings from quote to finalizing, invoicing, and travel documentation. The position uses its knowledge and skills to influence and ad value to the customer by providing travel advice and recommendations that will enhance the guest experience.

The position is based at our offices in Westville, Durban.

**The key responsibilities for this position are**:

- Planning and designing travel itineraries as per the customer request - a high level of consulting, knowledge and experience is required to provide travel advice and recommendations to the customer.
- Handling bookings from quote to finalising, invoicing, and travel documentation.
- Quoting the most appropriate products and services.
- Converting quotes into bookings.
- Offering alternatives, cross-sell, and upselling.
- Making reservations/bookings as per customer request.
- Accurate and timeous loading of bookings into the Reservations system
- Conducting availability checks.
- Booking of all accommodation and services and reconfirming all services.
- Sourcing and securing alternatives if any availability challenges arise.
- Managing release dates of services booked.
- Resolving any on-the-ground incidents or challenges.
- Managing customer accounts and resolving account queries within set deadlines.
- Quality Control of all bookings.

**Requirements**:
**Qualification**:

- Grade 12
- A Travel and Tourism qualification is highly recommended

**Core skills and experience required**:

- Experienced in consulting, quoting, and operating Inbound Travel FIT bookings.
- Experience working with the USA/Canada markets would be highly beneficial
- Good understanding and working knowledge of working with travel booking systems
- Solid product, destination, and logístical knowledge of South and Southern Africa
- Excellent Microsoft Office Computer Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Can deal effectively with high volumes/pressure whilst paying attention to every detail
- Someone who is customer service orientated and focused on the customer experience - always understanding and considering the customers' expectations and requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Can maintain quick turnaround times and can effectively prioritize work and manage their time.
- Are highly adaptable, and resilient and enjoy working in a changing and dynamic environment
- Is resourceful, solutions-driven, and can resolve challenges
- Team player
