- Reporting to Supply Chain Supervisor- PURPOSE: The execution of all physical stock movements from suppliers to customers and for work in progress.- GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
- The key areas of responsibility include:
- Physical receipt of stock from suppliers.- Physical dispatching of stock to customers.- Physical movement of stock to work in progress- Picking of consignments.- Packing of consignments Warehouse maintenance.- PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 1. Accurate and safe offloading of stock from suppliers in accordance with company policies and procedures.- 2. Accurate and safe storage of stock in accordance with company policies and procedures.- 3. Work in progress physical material issues.- 4. Picking of local and export consignments including preparation and packing for dispatch.- 5. Accurate and safe loading of finished goods for dispatch in accordance with company policies and procedures.- 6. The physical movement of stock and work in progress as required.- 7. Maintenance of warehouses, including accuracy of bin locations and warehouses.- 8. Adherence to all health and safety policies of the company.- 9. Assisting in daily cycle and periodic stock counts as required by the company.- 10. The safe operation of forklifts according to company policies and procedures.- 11. Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings as required.- 12. Keeping the work environment clean, safe and secure in accordance with the principles of 5S.- 13. To complete various administrative tasks as required by the Stores function.-
**Inherent Requirements**
- Qualification: Grade 12.- Experience:
- Min 2 years stores experience in a similar business.- Forklift Operation.- Knowledge:
- Ability to work as a team member and participant in projects that involve or impact the entire company.- Customer service orientation and emphasis on results, diplomacy, multitasking and priority setting.- Skills and Abilities:
- Good communication skills.- Good attention to detail.**What Qualification**
