**Position Overview**:
Looking for a suitably qualified storeman at the East London Plant. The position requires an individual in possession of a valid forklift license to fill the position of Storeman and will be responsible for stock control as well as the movement of stock and material around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The position requires a responsible individual with experience in stock control and material handling equipment. The goal will be to ensure that material and products are accurately processed and correctly stored as per work procedures.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 (Advantageous)
- Valid license to operate forklifts
- Proven experience as a storeman
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment

**Responsibilities**:

- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to allocated warehouse locations
- Pick and stage stock for storage and shipments
- Ensure bins are labelled and scanned to process shipments as per the shipping list
- Load and offload trucks
- Follow all work procedures related to warehouse and inventory control
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Conduct cycle counts as required
- Maintain inventory control in the warehouse
- Production Order kitting and scanning
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect all material handling equipment to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by reporting all defects to Superior
- Comply with company policies and stacking guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
- Maintain 5s operating standards within the warehouse
