Credit Controller

Our client in Wellington, Western Cape, is urgently looking for an experienced credit controller who will be responsible for the effective liaison with debtors and financial institutions, as well as all administrative functions associated with it, in order to collect outstanding amounts.

**Post Description & Duties**:
**Collection** of outstanding receivables balances and keep track of follow-up conversations with clients on debtors' reconciliation sheets.

**Continuous liaison** with all clients on age analysis in order to ensure payment. Forwarding of queries and follow-up thereof.

**Credit notes**:Collection of information regarding credit notes and submits a requisition for approval.

**Receipts**: Allocation of receipts & payments (to and from debtors) in the Datatim system. Ensure that money is deposited.

**Debtors reconciliations** of statements within the given deadline, reporting deviations and submitting to Debtors Manager for approval.

**Journals**:Ensuring debit and credit journals are made out, allocation of GL code, and submitting to Accountant & Debtor Manager for approval.

**General**: Making out receipts, forwarding reported queries and follow-up inquiries handed over to other departments (eg claims department).

Provide holdbacks to subcontractor clerks, report daily expected income list to Directors and provision weekly summary on debtors’ claims.

Dispatch of receivables statements at month-end.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
Minimum Grade 12,

5+ years experience in credit control/debt collection.

Salary will be discussed during the interview.
