**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 / equivalent
- Degree or diploma in Logistics / Warehouse Management / Supply Chain would be advantageous

**Experience and Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator within a Warehouse environment
- Computer literate on MS Excel (Spreadsheets & Formulas)
- Own Transport and a valid drivers license is essential
- Have a stable work record and contactable references
- Of sober habits
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skill
- Excellent communication abilities
- Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory/Managerial experience
- Be able to work overtime and flexitime if required (including weekends and public holidays)
- Be prepared to undergo random polygraph and surveillance examination
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Industrial Relations and People Management/Leadership
- Planning & Organizing - very strong ability to manage time & prioritize
- Excellent communication skills and ability - be able to communicate at all levels within the company
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Must be able to work effectively unsupervised

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Working closely with nominated Freight Forwarders and Brokers regarding global inbound shipments.
- First point of contact for Inbound transport Queries
- Assist in the Set-up of the Transport process through all partner interfaces such as Freight Forwarder, Customs Broker, and Transportation responsibilities
- Oversee Inbound Road freight shipments including delivery and mode of transport system changes in the ERP system
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Freight Forwarders, last mile carriers and third-party logistics partners
- Liaising weekly with internal stakeholders providing status updates
- Checking Tracking reports, detailing inbound freight volume, and planning inbound forecast and capacity
- Working in Collaboration with Operations Manager
- Assist Transport in continuous improvement after setup and make recommendations when defining processes
- Ensuring visibility to the wider business to meet planned delivery date
- Assist with Inventory management and inbound troubleshooting at warehouse(s)
- Knowledge of transport logistics procedures
- Deadline focused, with an abundance of patience and ability to navigate ambiguity
- Experience within imports, customs clearance related documentation and understanding of Container and Vehicle types and modes of transport, but not essential
- Supervise Receiving Co-ordinator
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in working with ERP systems, but not essential
- Strong work ethic and negotiation skills
