A leading global provider of process plants and Engineering services for the pyrometallurgical industry has an opportunity for Logistic officer/Coordinator in their Johannesburg branch.

You will be required to:

- Arrange and manage national and international transport of Company Technology and project equipment.
- Compilation of project transport estimates for tenders.
- Shipment scheduling and control in conjunction with relevant Company departments.
- Export control checks regarding internationally sanctioned territories, US anti-dumping regulations and prohibited trade relations.
- Check and maintain standardization of documents, form registration numbers to be allocated as per ISO 9001-2015 requirements.

Qualifications:

- Tertiary Qualification in Logistics and Supply chain Management (Advantageous)
- Technical Skills and qualifications
- Logistics handling.

Experience
- 5 years Experience in Project Logistics Operations
- Local and International transport and Shipping
- Project Management and Scheduling
- Preparation of Shipping documents.
- Sound Knowledge of International trade regulations and Restrictions.
- Packing and Loading of Project Equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Obtain transport pricing for import and export
- Obtain and compile transport pricing for project
- Maintain database cost
- Arrange and coordinate transportation of equipment for projects
- Maintaining master shipment tracking schedule to ensure timeous cargo movement
- Liaison with freight forwarders and suppliers for shipment of manufactured equipment.
- Compile project-specific packing and transport spesifications
- Work with the Company QA/QC department to ensure proper marking and packaging and timely transport of
- Keep track of all deliveries and keep a record of Proof of Delivery.
- Weekly feedback to the accounts department and Project Managers of deliveries for invoicing
- Maintain import and export registers of all cargo in transit
- Maintain annual / renewal and update Company tax and customs
- Filing of all shipping documents for record keeping to SARS and customs
- Review and incorporate industry standards into company operational
- Continual development of supply chain processes to improve
- Update, maintain and ensure implementation of transport and packaging specification.
