NQF level 6 qualification in the Facilities Management sphere and infrastructure management (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) or related qualification
- 5+ years’ experience as a Facilities Manager or Facilities Management experience
- Computer Literacy (Full MS Office Suit) and Concept
- Clean State Security and ITC record.
- Proficient in English
- Working experience in the Facilities Management Industry (advantageous)
- Manage Technical Services Department under operations FM subcontractor
- Develop, initiate and maintain an effective Operations and Technical Management Strategy aimed at creating operational excellence and technical efficiency.
- Implement and monitor the medium term and annual operational plans, programmes and projects to meet overall objectives and agreed timings.
- Formulate planned maintenance activities and schedules which meets the client’s requirements and contents stated in the Service Level Agreement
- Plan and manage the life cycle of the facilities
- Create and maintain an ideal working environment which adds maximum value to the company
- Compile weekly and monthly management reports
- Compile and manage the annual budget
- Manage and control the risk as defined under Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Facilitate the identified work to the project team through inspections
- Facilitate the identified work to the maintenance team through inspections
- Provide technical support for the agreed re-design, development, implementation, continuous improvement of the company’s processes as required, and ensuring customer focus.
- Facilitate the effective delivery of client solutions according to performance standards agreed and contracted in the PPP contractual agreement.
- Manage client interaction and expectations for multiple small and large scale development needs.
- Anticipates client needs and propose alternative technical solutions.
- Manage and monitor the SLA’s in respect of various services
- Draft scope of work for projects identified and get approval from the client
- Ensuring that the procurement process is adhered and complied at all times
- Manage the compliance issues as per the main contract
- Manage contractors on the various services and projects executed.
- Check, approve and submit suppliers’ invoices for payment
- Compile monthly reports to the client per sites managed
- Ensuring that the processes and procedures of access is adhered to by suppliers and subordinates
- Ensuring good quality of workmanship and service delivery to meet the client’s expectation
- Management of contracts and the insurance policy, broker, claims and renewals
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the technical supervisors, staff, contractors and professional services and delegate work accordingly.
- Accountable for the management of the operational activities of the various disciplines including but not limited to staff management, overseeing the administration and management of technical services department in line with company policies, procedure and standards.
- Management of helpdesk services to ensure it operates efficiently and optimally.
- Report writing and making written recommendations for approval by senior managers, executives and board.
